Don't join reactive dog social groups

Don’t waste your time staying in social media groups with other reactive dogs owners who love to talk about their struggles for years without any improvement.

Those are not actual support groups that will help you or your dogs to improve; they are just echo chambers. It’s like a bunch of people who are lost in a jungle and all they do is complaining about how lost they are - instead of focusing on finding a way out.

Your dog is not going to live a very long time. Don’t waste your dog’s time on things that will not help your dog.

Echo chambers can often make the human feel very good as they dwell in their misery and continue getting validations from other people who are equally lost; but the worst part about that is that this “good” feeling can become so addictive that many don’t want to move on. Many dogs are being locked in the same dark jungle for many years - and can’t go anywhere - because of that.

Yes, your dog and you are lost in the jungle, but it is only temporary and there is a way out.

Pick up your backpack, put on your boots, let’s look at the map, get ready to chop down some trees, and get out of this jungle now!

Gather with those who share success stories. Talk to people who will tell you “this is what l did, this is the trainer l hired, and this is how my dog has become so much better now”.

Hang out with people who celebrate success; don’t waste your time hanging out with those who only love to dwell on their own miseries.
