Dog & Children Aggressive & Intense Resource Guarding Rehab | Perfect Companion K9
Henry has bitten his owners more than 30 times. He is very reactive around dogs, fearful around strangers, and really aggressive towards children. He has a very serious resource guarding issue (both human and objects). His owners are having a baby and they really love to keep Henry so we need to help Henry to know how to share his life with his humans without any problem.
Two reactive & fearful Pomeranians transformed | Perfect Companion K9
We train and rehabilitate dogs of all breeds and sizes. Many people think all tiny dogs walk way ahead of their owners and barks all the time but that is not true. A tiny dog can be very well behaved, too. If you have any problem with your tiny dogs, please contact me.
Bikes/Dogs/Human Reactive German Shepherd Rehab | Perfect Companion K9
Subi is a one eyed German Shepherd dog that has been to a lot of trainers in my city. Since her owner cannot walk her due to her reactivity, she has hired many dog walkers but they all turned her down eventually. Subi is very reactive to bicycles (and many things that are fast moving on wheels such as skateboard) making it very difficult to take her outside of the house. She is also reactive to dogs, children, joggers, hikers (especially with walking sticks), and she shows a lot of anxiety to new strangers that approach her too quickly. Just before my visit, she chased two hikers when she was being walked by a dog walker and was reported to the city of Vancouver. She also charged and grabbed a child on a beach before. This is a video summary of Subi's transformation after 2 sessions (1 hour each).
Dog & Human Aggressive Mastiff Rehab | Perfect Companion K9
This is a documentation of what can be achieved in our 4 week board and train program. The French mastiff in this video is not just a typical reactive dog, he has bitten and attacked quite a few dogs and has also bitten his owner, his owner's guests, and quite aggressive toward some total stranger on the street. When he attacked he attacked with the intention to kill. His owner really loves him. She has had Rio since he was a puppy and although Rio kept getting into trouble she was determined not to give up on him so she reached out to us. And this is what happened.
Hyperactive reactive Rottweiler Transformed | Perfect Companion K9
I would like to show this video of a very hyperactive and dog/human reactive Rottie puppy that came to our training a while ago. Remy was an 8 months old Rottie puppy. His owners could not walk him. Remy loved to jump on people and lunge and bark at other dogs. He loved to bite the leash, tug on the leash with his owner, and roll on the ground when he was outside. He was a lovely 8 months old puppy but due to his behavioral problems he could not really be taken out to enjoy life the way he deserved. Inside the house, he was also very hyper and destructive. Since he was very powerful and they could not control him in public, they worried that if he accidentally jumped on someone (e.g. a little child), he could get taken away or even be put down. You can see the before and the after in this short clip. When used properly, prong collar is a very effective, gentle, and humane tool. It has helped hundreds and thousands of owners to be able to enjoy walking their dogs and have a great relationship with their dogs. His owners were really pleased with the result. After the training, they were able to give him much more freedom, trust, and fun. Remy was able to be taken to many different places and be included in his owner's life in a way no one thought was possible before.
Fearful Anxious Great Dane Puppy Rehab | Perfect Companion K9
Spot was a very fearful pup who arrived under our care at 5 months of age. She was totally untrained, and was so scared that she pee in our vehicle on our way back. She was afraid of stairs, men, dogs, dark corners, elevator, shinny floor surfaces, buses, trains, trucks... She was for sale on Craigslist for only $150 with no taker for over 2 months because she was just too timid. She lived with several other dogs who constantly attacked her so the owner had locked her up pretty much all day long. When we got her she didn't even have a leash because she was never walked. With ecollar training I was able to break through to her. Through clear communication via ecollar that is less confrontation than leash correction I was able to let her understand she could trust me and just relax. After giving her much needed structure and guidance via the help of ecollar, at 9 months old, we have received many compliment when we are out. Many have commented that Spot was the best behaved 9 months puppy they have seem.
